The Sedona Historical Society is a volunteer group which offers not only the Sedona Heritage Museum -- we're also into research, preservation, restoration and education.

Hundreds of school students and teachers have trooped through our museum, and we offer educational presentations in their schools as well as to other local organizations. Our archives are available to those doing research into local culture and history for many purposes.

Our basic goal is to serve the people of our community, both present and in the future, however we can.

Keep up with history! 

History is not frozen in time; it continues.  As the present learns from the past, the future learns from us.  The Sedona Historical Society builds on what we have. Our exhibits grow and change. It's fascinating work, and fun to meet people who love it.

It takes a lot of volunteer work, and considerable funding, to make the Sedona Heritage Museum and all other Society programs a reality.  You are needed.  We invite you to join with us and do what you can for this effort. 

Many kinds of jobs need to be done ...

Society volunteers greet visitors and guide them through the museum; demonstrate equipment; provide security; help to collect, restore, maintain and preserve documents and artifacts; interview pioneers for oral histories; do various administrative and hospitality jobs; and many others.

Membership in the Society
